Writing and Wellbeing – Nancy Stevenson - Write Retreat UK – September -October 2021.
These 8 workshops provide supportive space and opportunities to explore and engage in the pleasure of writing. I introduce creative approaches that can be used to enhance your regular writing practices either in an academic setting or as part of your professional role. There will be opportunities to enable you to develop your skills in creative writing (fiction and non-fiction), create a short story, write a memoir, start journaling or write a poem. Each weekly 90-minute session is structured around a theme and aims to develop confidence and creativity through free flow writing exercises, scenarios, props and journeys.
You will be asked to practice your writing skills, be invited to share your work and ideas within the group, to listen and give supportive feedback. It is a busy time and you do not need to sign up for all 8 sessions - you are welcome to drop into 1 or 2 sessions during the course. If you have not signed up for previous sessions I would recommend that you attend the introduction.

"I run writing retreats and workshops and I have extensive experience of providing writing advice and support. Most of my published work is in academic journals and my professional work also includes writing lecture content and business writing. I use creative writing techniques and journaling as a way of enabling me to think through ideas and problems, as well as developing creative content. I hope you can join me for these workshops which are designed to be accessible, friendly, informal, playful and enjoyable. No prior creative writing experience required."
